DASH diet to good health

DASH diet plan is a new way of eating for life. If you avoid eating plan for a few days, do not let yourself from reaching your health goals. Back on track. Here’s how:

- Ask yourself why you went to the track.

It was at a party? Did you feel stress at home or at work? Find out what the start of the link and start the DASH plan.

- Do not worry about a slip.

All slides, especially when you learn something new. Remember that changes your life is a long-term process.

- Look, if you’re trying to do too many things at once.

Often, those who start a new life trying to change too many things at once. Instead, change one or two things at once. Slowly but surely the best way to succeed.

Break the process into small steps.

This not only prevents you from trying to do too much at once, but also keeps the changes easier. Break complex goals into smaller, simple measures, each of which is feasible.

- Write it.

Use the table on page 9 for keeping track of what you eat. This can help you find the problem. Besides noting what you eat, also record: where you are, what you do and how you feel. Keep track for several days. You can find, for example, that you eat foods high in fat while watching television. If yes, you can start keeping a substitute snack on hand to eat instead of foods high in fat. This file also helps you make sure you get enough of each food group.

- Celebrate success.

Treat yourself to a non-food for your achievements.
