Last week, created an uproar erupted after news that the U.S. Congress decided ketchup on pizza qualifies as a vegetable. In that decision, Congress rejected the proposed new USDA guidelines for school lunches that have increased the amount of fruits and vegetables served in school cafeterias across the country.

Many arguments have questioned the logic of this decision, namely: If the pizza is a vegetable with tomato sauce and a vegetable lasagna is not it?

McDonald is responsible for a burger with tomato and lettuce, so it is also a vegetable?
